At last, I managed to go to the Body Worlds Exhibition at Singapore Science Centre.
It's very fascinating how smart Dr Gunther von Hagens is to invent the technique of preserving biological samples through plastination.
From what I read about plastination, based on my recollection at the exhibitions, is a technique of preserving the samples by removing the fats and water and replacing it by polymer before curing in the position intended.
At the exhibition, apart from plastinates to do the explanation on the wonders of the various parts of our body, there're also slices of the body.
The slices ranging between 2mm-5mm.
Imagine the precision and attention required from the personnel handling the biological samples skillfully to prevent any damages.
In addition, we should not forget that the biological samples include human specimens and the delicate parts in us.
